Green and purple botryoidal chalcedony - Indonesia - 16g | PCGRAP-25

If you are looking for a rare and unique mineral to add to your collection and join your other wonders, here is our selection of botryoidal or grape chalcedony, mistakenly called grape agate (no, it is not an agate at all!).

Originating from the island of Sulawesi, in Indonesia, botryoidal chalcedony is made up of quartz crystallites that strangely resemble a bunch of grapes. Primarily purple with some light to very dark shades for the rarest, white, gray, or green botryoidal chalcedony is also found.

Aspects of grape chalcedony:

In terms of colors, the outer side is formed of rounded purple and greenish microcrystals, while the inner side features a mix of light purple, pale green, and white.
