Originating from the island of Sulawesi, in Indonesia, botryoidal chalcedony is formed from quartz crystallites that strangely resemble a bunch of grapes. Mainly purple with some light to very dark shades for the rarest ones, white, gray, or green botryoidal chalcedony is also found.

Its peculiarity is that it is extremely sparkling, even in the shade, but the effect is much more impressive and noticeable in the light. A very beautiful rough stone to add to your collection if you are looking for rare pieces that don't take up much space.
