Yellow/orange fluorite can also be found in France, China, Canada, the United States, Mexico, England, and Spain.

Characteristics of yellow fluorite:

  • Length: 6.8cm
  • Width: 6.2cm
  • Height: 4.5cm
  • Weight: 204g
  • Fluorite hardness: 4 on the Mohs scale
  • Fluorite belongs to the cubic crystal system

Aspects of yellow/orange fluorite:

This orange-toned fluorite comes from one of the rich deposits in Morocco, specifically from the mining village of Aouli (or Ahouli). It is distinguished by the presence of appreciable-sized twinned fluorite cubes resting on a granite matrix, an igneous rock very common in Morocco. The main cube located on top of the stone measures 1.7x1.5cm, unfortunately it is broken on one side. Other cubes of one centimeter and less are associated with each other and present all over the top of the fluorite. In terms of color, you will find a honey-yellow fluorite with lighter and darker nuances depending on the crystals, position, and lighting. A very beautiful Moroccan piece for your fluorite collection.

Note: Particular care has been taken to best respect the natural colors of the minerals offered to you. Photos are taken in the best conditions, and slightly retouched to best resemble the original stone. However, there may be slight contrasts due to the different screens used and their brightness.
